While originally from Egypt, Dr. Youssef was raised in Tallahassee, FL, where he attended college at the Florida State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, graduating with honors in research. He completed neurosurgical internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, one of the most prominent neurosurgical training programs in the country. Following residency, he completed fellowship training in minimally invasive, robotic, and complex spine surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, TN under mentorship of world-renowned spine surgeons Dr. Kevin Foley and Dr. Paul Park.

Having completed rigorous subspecialized training, Dr. Youssef has the skills and knowledge to treat any spinal condition, from trauma and tumors to scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. Whenever possible, he chooses the least invasive treatment option, allowing for targeted operations, decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stay, and faster return to work and normal activity level.
In his free time, Dr. Youssef enjoys spending time with his wife, Erica, and their three dogs, Daisy, Dean, and Delilah, playing soccer, and soaking up the sun along the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast.
